FA VASE TROPHY ON DISPLAY AT QUEENSGATE ON SUNDAY..

Our opponents on Sunday in the long awaited FA Vase tie, Sunderland Nissan are unbeaten in their last 4 matches, they had a 1-0 win at Ashington last week, before that they played at Stokesley in the league cup and won 6-3.
On October 31st they won 7-1 at Seaham Red Star and a couple of days previous to that result they beat Whitley Bay 3-1 in a rare home fixture.
So confidence will be high in the Nissan camp, but we are top of our league. playing some attractive football, Queensgate will be a vociferous and daunting place for the opposition and with a near enough full strength side I do'nt think Boro will be overawed by the occasion.
Nissan are 5th in the Northern League league and out of 13 games played, only 3 of those have been home fixtures and the other 10 have all been away games, they have 27 points from 13 games, top team Consett have 34 points from 17 games played.
Nissan are rumoured to be bringing over 100 fans on Sunday, so there should be a good atmosphere inside the ground and surely a new crowd record will be set for a Scarborough Athletic fixture at Queensgate.
Also at the game, the actual FA Vase will be on display, the FA organise a roadshow for the Vase, the FA Trophy and FA Cup on competition weekends and Scarborough Athletic have organised for the trophy to be on display at Queensgate on Sunday.
So it should be a great occasion and possibly by 4.50 on Sunday afternoon we could be a little closer still to a trip to Wembley Stadium in May.
