France junior leads Boro out at home to Brodsworth tonight night, 7.45pm, after which he and dad Brian, who returns from holiday tomorrow, will make the final selection for Saturday's big kick-off.Darren has been a little disappointed with the club's past two pre-season results, though the performances against both Pickering and Winterton have delighted the former Hull City striker.
France has added young striker Rob Petch to the squad ahead of tonight's clash and he is also keen to give fellow frontman Ryan Blott another run-out.He said: "There have been an awful lot of positives from what we have seen in pre-season."One or two of the results have been a bit disappointing, but that doesn't matter too much until the season starts."We have been playing against sides from the division above and in truth we should have won against the likes of Pickering and Winterton."Brodsworth will be another good test for us and after that we'll be ready for the Saturday."We'll know a lot more after Brodsworth and we'll have a good idea of who will start against Askern."
