I HAVE JUST READ IN OUR LOCAL PAPER ABOUT THE SITUATION REGARDING THE ROSSINGTON FANS WHO WERE OUT TO CAUSE TROUBLE AT SATURDAY'S GAME.
TRUST CHAIRMAN, SIMON COPE, WHO ACTED AS A STEWARD ON THE DAY, IS TO CONTACT THE NORTHERN COUNTIES EAST LEAGUE ABOUT THE PROBLEMS CAUSED BY THESE IDIOTS, REMEMBER THEY ACTED IN THE SAME WAY THE PREVIOUS WEEK WHEN WE WERE THEIR VISITORS.
THE TEAM WERE A SHAMBLES ALSO, SOME OF THEIR PLAYERS NEED A REPRIMAND ALSO ABOUT THEIR BEHAVIOUR, NATHAN HILL OF ROSSINGTON WAS SENT OFF ON SATURDAY AFTER HEADBUTTING BORO'S MARK GRIFFIN.
ALTHOUGH THE ROSSINGTON FANS WERE AT FAULT, I DID WITNESS A WELL KNOWN SCARBOROUGH FAN, I SAY FAN- BUT THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME THAT I HAVE SEEN HIM IN ATTENDANCE OF A "SCARBOROUGH ATHLETIC" MATCH, IN FACT THE LAST TIME I SAW HIM WAS AT ARNOLD TOWN'S GROUND WHEN SCARBOROUGH FC PLAYED THERE DURING THEIR FINAL SEASON, HE DECIDED TO SHOW HIS BARE BACKSIDE TO A GROUP OF ARNOLD FANS, NATURALLY THE ARNOLD FANS TOOK EXCEPTION AND CAME TO HAVE A GO AT HIM, BUT BEING THE COWARD THAT HE IS HE DISAPPEARED INTO THE CROWD AND A BUNCH OF YOUNG BORO FANS TOOK THE BRUNT OF THE ARNOLD FANS AGGRESSION. THIS SAME FAN WAS IN OUR
GROUND ON SATURDAY AND WAS DOING HIS BEST TO MIX IT WITH THE ROSSINGTON IDIOTS. THE CLUB NEED TO BE STRONG AND BAN SUCH PEOPLE FROM THE GROUND. A LOT OF PEOPLE KNOW WHO HE IS, IT WILL NOT DO OUR CLUB ANY FAVOURS BEING ASSOCIATED WITH SUCH PEOPLE, EITHER AT HOME OR AWAY.

BORO HAVE WON 4 LEAGUE GAMES IN A ROW AND SCORED 14 GOALS IN THOSE 4 GAMES, THIS SATURDAY SEES LEEDS MET' VISIT QUEENSGATE, A SIDE WHO WE BEAT 4-1 EARLIER IN THE SEASON ON THEIR OWN GROUND, SURELY, THE CROWD WILL TOP 500 FOR THIS MATCH.
SCARBOROUGH FOOTBALL CLUB WERE FORCED INTO LIQUIDATION AT THE END OF THE 2006-07 SEASON. A NEW TRUST RUN CLUB HAS NOW BEEN FORMED "SCARBOROUGH ATHLETIC" AND THIS BLOG WILL FOLLOW THEIR FORTUNES, BOTH ON AND OFF THE FOOTBALL FIELD. UP THE BORO !!!
THIS BLOG WAS CREATED FROM THE VERY BEGINNINGS OF SCARBOROUGH ATHLETIC'S FORMATION
Scarborough Athletic F.C were formed on June 25th 2007 following the winding up order imposed on the old club after the local council turned down the club's survival plans. The club were finally forced into liquidation with debts of £2.5 million by a High Court judge, and so ended the club's magnificent 128 year history, no thoughts or consideration was to be spared for anyone connected with the club or the towns footballing public. However a trust had been formed and we were prepared for such a situation should it arise. The Seadog Trust applied to the Northern Counties East League to enter newly formed Scarborough Athletic and they were succesful in their application.
The new club are a continuation of the old one, they have the same kit, badge, motto etc and most importantly have kept a large number of the old supporters. This blog was started by me from the very beginnings of Scarborough Athletic FC and will follow the fortunes, both good and bad of the newly formed club as they try to get back to the higher levels of the football pyramid where they rightly belong. A rival team has also been formed 'Scarborough Town', I do not expect that particular club will have much of a future, but do they realise the damage that they are causing to the future success of football in the town, our town cannot support 2 teams, Athetic are here to stay, we are the town's number one football team and will return to the higher levels of the game in the next few seasons..
THIS BLOG WAS ESTABLISHED FROM THE BEGINNINGS OF SCARBOROUGH ATHLETIC AND WILL CONTINUE TO FOLLOW THE CLUB ON THEIR JOURNEY BACK TO THE FOOTBALL LEAGUE. I AM NOT HERE TO ADVERTISE OR MAKE MONEY FROM 3RD PARTY LISTINGS, I AM HERE TO SIMPLY FOLLOW THE CLUB AND TRY TO KEEP THIS BLOG AS INTERESTING AS POSSIBLE. COMMENTS ARE WELCOME.
